Mixed Media Canvas

Hey everyone!

Wow, it has been a year since my last post! Sorry about that. Life happens, though, right? I am back today with a new process video for you! This canvas was made for an Art Recipe Challenge in a group on Facebook. The lady putting out the challenge was looking for people to make samples and I said I would help her out! The ingredients we were to use were:

Inks for the main source of color,
Tissue paper,
Music paper,
A black pen,
and a creature with wings.

I had fun doing this challenge! I have been trying to use the things I have on hand and not buy new supplies. We are moving in just over a month and the less I buy, the less I have to move! I did have to go to the thrift store and buy a Barbie, however, because my kids wouldn't let me use theirs for art purposes...

You can see the video I made of this process here:

Keep reading for some pictures of the process, as well as the materials I used on this canvas.

ATC Swap Submissions

Hi guys!
I recently joined an ATC swap in a group I belong to on Facebook. This was my first time making an ATC, and I enjoyed it! I ended up making 4 with the intention of keeping one. I had one person to send to, and the other two were for swapping with other people who made extra. This ended up being a very long process, I recorded 2 hours and 45 minutes  of video. I was able to get the video time down to 23 minutes, and I will post that in two videos, both of which can be found below! I have also put the full supply list below.

Documented Life week 14 - Write your name and embellish

Hi guys!

I have fallen behind in my Documented Life planner over the last while. I spent this last week working on week 14, here is what I came up with!

It is a simple page, but I am quite happy with how it turned out! I do not have a gelli plate, so I used a

'Add a Food Box' DLP Week 16

Hi guys!
This week I got back into my Documented Life planner to do the week 16 challenge, 'Add a food box'. I had a few empty packages left from Easter candy and one from a box of granola. I showed all three in the video, but only ended up using two of them.

This page was fun to do, I had no idea what I was going to do when I started

Bee Tag

Hi guys!

This past week marked the end of The Crafter's Workshop design team call. I submitted my application, and one of the projects I submitted was this one.

This tag was inspired by one I found on Pinterest . I really liked the idea of using

Art Journal Process #2

Hi Guys!
My most recent art journal page was done in my journal that is almost full. There is not much left in it but some premade backgrounds. This page started out as scraps that I had pulled off of my table and glued down, probably almost a year ago. It has sat, waiting, for me to do something with it. Here is what I came up with!

I had no idea where this page was going, I was just wanting to do something with it. I'm still not completely convinced

'Warm Wishes' Mixed Media Card

Hi guys!

I was asked to make up a  sample for my local scrapbook store using a few of my the new Prima card size doll stamps by Julie Nutting. I thought I would film the process for you. This was my first attempt at making a mixed media card. I have done cards, and I have done mixed media art journaling, but I have never put the two together! This was an interesting challenge for me!

I knew that I wanted to use more than one of the stamps from the set. I like how this card turned out,
